Making a positive difference
If you are interested in applying for a job opportunity open at Kids Kottage Foundation, please fill out the application portal and attach your resume, cover letter and your qualifications (optional).
**We appreciate the interest of all applicants. However, we will only contact those selected for an interview. **
- Once you have submitted your application, and you are successfully selected to go forward in our hiring process, you will be contacted via email to schedule a pre-interview over the phone with our HR Coordinator (if you do not hear from us that means you have not been selected).
- After the pre-interview (if you are a successful candidate), you will be scheduled to attend an in-person interview at our Administration Office. At this stage you will be asked to provide 3 references (at least 2 being supervisory).
- Once your references have been checked and if you are chosen for the position, you will receive a conditional employment offer via email.
- If you accept the offer, you will need to submit your clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Check (both dated within the last 6 months of your anticipated start date), qualifications (any degrees/diplomas/training certificates).*Note that the offer is contigent upon the reciept of required documents. Your employment will be delayed if these are not recieved prior to your anticipated start date.
- Once we have received the required documents, you will be scheduled to come in person at our Admin Office to sign your employment contract and additional HR documents. At this stage you will be asked to provide your direct deposit information for payroll. You will also be given a tour of the Crisis Nursery and start the orientation process.
Note: If you will be working part-time or full-time in the Crisis Nursery there are some orientation shifts that must be done before you will start your scheduled rotation. For example, all new childcare staff must work at least 1 day shift, 1 evening shift and 1 night shift as training.
Here is the Crim check link through Edmonton Police: https://www.policesolutions.ca/checks/services/edmonton/index.php
You will have to register and make an account first. When filling out the information for the check, ensure you select ‘with Vulnerable Sector’, then it will be emailed back to you at a later date. Note there is a fee for this one. The website automatically reduces the fee for volunteers but a letter can be made available if you need it.
