Kids Kottage Welcomes Mo Habib as Senior Associate of Philanthropy & Partnerships

Edmonton, July 10, 2026 – Kids Kottage Foundation is thrilled to announce the addition of our newest team member, Mo Habib, as our Senior Associate of Philanthropy & Partnerships. In this role, Mo will help grow donor relationships, community partnerships, and fundraising initiatives to support the ongoing operations of the organization.

“Mo’s ability to build strong professional partnerships, combined with his dedication to strengthening our community, makes him an excellent fit for Kids Kottage as we continue to grow and focus on expansion in the coming years,” says Ashley Brosda - Executive Director, Kids Kottage Foundation.

With a background spanning the oil & gas, industrial, and mining sectors, Mo has spent over 15 years cultivating trust, negotiating complex agreements, and stewarding long-term partnerships. This experience in business development and account management, coupled with a natural strength for relationship-building and a genuine commitment to philanthropy, positions Mo to help strengthen and grow the partnerships that keep our doors open for children in crisis year-round.

Beyond his corporate experience, Mo has consistently found ways to connect his work and personal values to philanthropy. In 2016, he co-founded Mr. Nice Socks, a social enterprise created with a simple mission: for every pair of custom socks sold, two pairs are donated to organizations serving individuals and communities in need. He has also served on the Board of Directors for YOUCAN Youth Services, where he contributed to governance and strategic planning, and even previously served as Executive Director of Volunteer Operations for the Ismaili Volunteers, leading a team of volunteers across northern Alberta.

Originally from Vancouver, Mo has called Edmonton home since 2007 and has been proud to contribute to the city’s well-being through both his professional work and community involvement. For Mo, that commitment starts with family. As a proud father of two young daughters, he brings a family-oriented perspective to his work and a strong belief in supporting young people early, before challenges become crises. His passion for youth, mental health, and prevention aligns closely with Kids Kottage’s mission to provide stability and care for vulnerable infants and children during times of crisis.

Kids Kottage Foundation is excited to welcome Mo to the team and looks forward to the energy, experience, and community-minded leadership he brings to this role.
