Announcing our New Executive Director
Edmonton, November 25, 2024 – The Kids Kottage Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Ashley Brosda as its new Executive Director. With wide-ranging experience in non-profit leadership and a deep commitment to serving our most vulnerable, Ashley is the right fit for Kids Kottage’s mission of fostering resilience and providing a safe haven for children in need.
“Following an extensive search, the Board of Directors is thrilled to welcome Ashley Brosda to lead this organization. Her proven track record and dedication to serving those most in need makes her the perfect choice for Kids Kottage,” said Board Chair Lauren Armstrong. “As we look forward to celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2025, we are excited to work together to grow Kids Kottage impact and create safe, supportive environments for children and families in Edmonton.”
Ms. Brosda shared her excitement for her new role, stating, “I am honoured to join Kids Kottage Foundation and to lead an organization with such an essential mission. I look forward to collaborating with our team, partners, and the broader community to build resilience in families and ensure that children have a safe place to turn in times of crisis.”
Armstrong continued, “The Board also warmly thanks outgoing co-Executive Directors Lori Reiter and Pam Miller, who came out of retirement to serve Kids Kottage on an interim basis. Their decades-long contributions to this organization and to the children we serve are valued beyond measure.”
About Ashley Brosda
Ashley holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Education, both from the University of Alberta. In her previous role as a Senior Management Consultant at KPMG Canada, Ashley specialized in public sector solutions and worked alongside government and not-for-profit organizations on numerous transformative projects, including policy development, strategy creation, and governance reviews. Ashley also served as the Executive Director of Brain Care Centre, where she led strategic and operational initiatives to support individuals impacted by brain injury. Her professional background encompasses leadership in early intervention, case management, and direct service delivery, providing her with a holistic understanding of community-centered care. Her commitment to serving the community is also evident through her years of volunteer work in various capacities, most recently serving as chair of the membership committee with Rotary Club of Edmonton South.

Kids Kottage is dedicated to ensuring the safety of infants and children while supporting the resilience of families by offering resources and support during difficult times.
