Kids Kottage Foundation Introduces The ‘Justice Rosanna Saccomani Children’s Champion Award’ at 30th Anniversary Gala

Edmonton, AB – September 13, 2025: Kids Kottage Foundation proudly announced the creation of a new annual award, The Justice Rosanna Saccomani Children’s Champion Award, during its 30th Anniversary Gala, held this year before a community of supporters, partners, and advocates.

The award, named in honour of Justice Rosanna Saccomani, recognizes individuals who demonstrate extraordinary courage, strength, and vision in championing children and families in crisis.

Justice Saccomani is a co-founder of Kids Kottage and a long-serving board member who has dedicated over three decades to strengthening families and protecting children. She has also been the driving force behind the Foundation’s fundraising gala, ensuring its success year after year as a cornerstone of community engagement and support.

“Justice Saccomani has been a pillar of leadership, compassion, and vision for thirty years,” said Lauren Armstrong, Chair of the Kids Kottage Board of Directors. “This award is a way to ensure her legacy continues, by recognizing those who step up to protect children and build stronger families in our community.”

Each year, the award will be presented to a leader whose work reflects Justice Saccomani’s lifelong commitment to advocacy, justice, and compassion. At this year’s 30th Anniversary Gala, Justice Saccomani was honored as the first recipient, marking the beginning of a meaningful tradition that will celebrate her legacy and inspire future champions for years to come.

“This award is not just about recognition,” added Ashley Brosda, Executive Director. “It is about inspiring action. Each recipient will be a reminder that when we have the courage to step forward, we change lives – just as Justice Saccomani has done for three decades.”
