Pedalling for a Purpose: J. Percy Page Students Break Records for Kids Kottage

A Record-Breaking Ride. And They’re Not Done Yet!

Students at J. Percy Page High School have done something incredible. Their annual Bike-a-Thon in support of Kids Kottage Foundation has already shattered records by raising over $88,000 (at time of post) by mid-October!

With one month left before the Bike-A-Thon, and nearly two months still left before their campaign ends (December 31, 2025), these students have already surpassed their $80,000 goal. Their dedication, heart, and community spirit are fueling real change for children and families in crisis across Edmonton.

But the ride isn’t over yet.
The Bike-a-Thon takes place on November 21-22, 2025
Together, let’s see if we can help them push past $100,000. Let’s make this year’s Bike-a-Thon their most impactful yet.

What Is the Bike-a-Thon?

Every fall, J. Percy Page students hop on their bikes and pedal all day and night to raise funds for Kids Kottage Foundation. It’s more than a fundraiser. It’s youth leading with empathy and action,  showing what’s possible when a community comes together for children who need safety, comfort, and care.

Why It Matters

When families experience crises like poverty, domestic violence, mental health struggles, or housing instability, Kids Kottage provides a lifeline, keeping children safe while helping families find stability.

Funds raised through the Bike-a-Thon directly support:

  • Safe shelter for children during family emergencies
  • Nutritious meals and essentials like clothing and hygiene supplies
  • Family support programs that help caregivers rebuild stability
  • 24-hour crisis line connecting families to help any time of day
  • Developmental programming to nurture children’s well-being while in care

Every kilometer cycled, every dollar donated, helps ensure no child is left without a safe place to turn.

Help Make This Year Beyond Expectations

These students have already proven that determination and compassion can move mountains and pedal past every expectation.

Can we help them take it even further?
Let’s rally behind them and reach $100,000 before the year ends.
